      Jewelry Maintenance:

      • Please remove jewelry before swimming, bathing, hot spring and other strenuous physical activities that may lead to jewelry damage such as discoloration.

      • Don't carry jewelry tossed in a purse or mingled with other pieces to prevent scratching.

      • Store jewelry separately in a jewelry box and keep it away from abrasive surfaces.

      • Avoid silver dips, polishing liquids, ultrasonic cleaning and strong chemicals.

      • Handle jewelry gently, especially pendants, earrings or rings made with natural stones. Be extra careful not to drop them on the floor or knock them against hard surfaces as this could hurt their delicate structures.

      • If applying lotions, make-up and perfume, jewelry should be the last thing you put on.

      • Polish frequently with a soft polishing cloth to maintain the shine. However, a polishing cloth won’t remove scratches.

      • Use ultrasonic cleaners carefully. They are ideal for cleaning most metal jewelry pieces without stones (excluding oxidized sterling and plated jewelry).

      Metals and stones:

      • Sterling silver: Sterling silver jewelry is bound to tarnish over time if it is exposed to air. Clean with a polishing cloth or soft brush and soapy water. Simply add a small amount of mild soap to lukewarm water and use a soft toothbrush to brush the jewelry gently in a circular motion. If the dirt is hard to remove, soak the jewelry in the soapy water for 5-10 minutes.

      • Brass: When brass oxidizes and weathers, it begins to tarnish. To clean tarnished brass at home and to restore its shine, use a cleaner that contains acidic ingredients, such as lemon, tomato or vinegar. There are many effective ways to clean brass jewelry easily at home. Often, these home remedies are as effective, if not more so, than commercial brass jewelry cleaners.

Some people may experience a green discoloration of their skin, copper is the metal especially well known for causing this reaction. It may be caused by a chemical reaction between acids in their skin and the metal, or a reaction between the metal and another substance on the hand, such as a hand cream. The green color is not harmful in itself and can easily be removed with water and soap.
      • Gold Plated: The best thing you can do to help gold-plated jewelry keep its luster as long as possible is to take preventative measures to reduce damage.
      1. Avoid to spray perfume, hairspray or applying lotion, make-up while using your gold-plated pieces. The gold plated necklace, ring or bracelet must only be put on after the cream or lotion you have applied has been absorbed by your skin or has dried.

      2. Remove any gold-plated rings and bracelets while preparing acidic foods.

      3. Do not swim in chlorinated or salt-water pools while wearing gold-plated jewelry.

      4. Remove gold-plated pieces before exercising or when sweating profusely to prevent salts from damaging the gold.

      5. Don’t make use of antibacterial soaps or jewelry cleaners for cleaning your gold-plated jewelry as chemicals present in them might tarnish it quickly.

      Allergic Reactions:

An allergic reaction to nickel is one of the most common causes of an itchy skin rash. It can also cause other changes in the skin, such as redness and blistering, therefore our jewelry is made from nickel free-based sterling silver, and all brass/gold plated pieces do not contain nickel. However, for people with hypersensitive skin, some metals may cause irritation...
